We are extremely proud to be recognised four times in five years (2004, 2006, 2007 and again in 2008) by the Green Apple Organisation and to win an award in its Farming and Agricultural sector.

The Green Apple Environment Awards was set up 10 years ago to recognise companies and products that adopt an eco-friendly approach to their business and 'set environmental standards for others to follow'.

Verm-X joins international winners such as Jaguar, Toyota, County Councils and global industries.

The awards have been presented by key figures in Parliament and those who represent the fight for sustainable development such as the Rt. Hon. Patricia Hewitt MP and Mr David Bellamy.

Owner of Verm-X Philip Ghazala says:'It is a great honour to be recognised in this way by the British Government and it underlines what we stand for and proves to all animal and pet owners that Verm-X has a serious place in the management of animal welfare'.

Verm-X are also owners of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year:

"Verm-X, leaders in animal healthcare, are now proud owners of the 2008 Business of the Year Award after the award ceremony held on 7th October in Taunton.

The judges work closely to choose businesses who are constantly able to prove their aptness for the award and were impressed by Verm-X's achievements in the different areas they focus on. The Business of the Year award is given to the company most able to demonstrate all-round excellence in business. The judges’ focuses are on financial performance and future objectives, along with the competitive advantage of the business, they also look for examples of specific strategies which have driven businesses growth. It was commented by the judges that the superior communication levels within the Verm-X team was one of the things that had set them apart from the rest.

Verm-X has always been able to pride itself on its ability to embrace the ethos of constant change and improvement. They strive to work on all areas of the business, making sure not only are the customers happy but also staff and suppliers understand the high standards that are expected and endeavour to achieve these.

And it looks like this is just the start of things to come, Marketing and Customer Relations Officer Eleanor Pitts-Tucker explains, “We are delighted with the award and are now looking towards the future. Our ability to be recognised in such a range of important areas of being a small business is fantastic!”
