What
are Parasites
"A parasite is an animal or plant that lives in or on another (the host) from which it obtains nourishment."
The word 'parasite' comes from the Greek word 'parasitos' - one who lives at another's expense.
In both animals and humans there are a number of different parasites that may be found these are generally referred to as worms. Whilst it is considered that a small level of worms may be acceptable, at the time of writing it is uncontested that regular treatment for parasite control should be carried out for the maintenance and protection of good health.
