The Natural Way Is The Only Way For Julia And Her Andalusians...

After growing up with horses and working on the family stud farm, Julia Alemany-Bird thoroughly enjoyed competing in showing, dressage, show jumping and eventing, before she took up a new role in Mallorca as a riding yard manger and met her husband Miquel.
It was this move which led to her obsession with Andalusian's and passion for the breed and classical riding.
Based in Kent at their own equestrian centre, Yeguada Alemany–Bird, Julia has adopted the natural approach to horse care and is a keen follower of using herbal based supplements and natural parasite control.
Julia and her husband Miquel currently have many Andalusian horses at their stud including their prize winning bay Schoolmaster Stallion 'Bizarro BV', they also offer private training in the Art of Classical Riding, courses on the History and Morphology of the Andalusian Horse and a Working Student programme which attracts students from around the World. They also help potential owners find the Spanish Horse of their dreams at their Studs in Mallorca.
Explains Julia: “The running of Yeguada Alemany-Bird is a small operation but very professional, it is also a way of life and we are very passionate about providing the best possible environment for our horses to live in. For this reason I try to pursue a natural horse care approach where ever possible."
“I like to keep horses in as natural a way as we can. The horses live out all year round including the stallions, I like them to be themselves and behave like horses, not cooped up in a stable and shut away.
“On the stable management side I also try to follow a natural regime, I use hemp bedding and have developed a diet for the horses which is as natural as possible.”
Over the years Julia has used a number of methods to worm her horses but around three years ago decided to investigate a more natural way of combating parasites and came across Verm-X the leaders in natural parasite control.
Adds Julia: “After seeing an advert for the product four years ago we started to talk about herbal based products and I decided to give Verm-X a try as I was very intrigued by the natural use of herbs. I have used Verm-X ever since and have been delighted with the results."
“We feed the Verm-X powder every 10 to 12 weeks by mixing it in with the horses feed and throw in a couple of apples, they eat it straight up. It is so important to us that our horses are happy, healthy and obviously perform to the best of their ability. Not only is Verm-X a successful means of keeping our horse’s parasite free but we have noticed that it acts like a health booster."
“We can always tell when it is time to use Verm-X again because the horses’ coats become dull and stale. After using Verm-X their coats shine and gleam and their general condition improves immensely.”
When searching for a more natural approach to keeping your horses’ parasite free, Verm-X is the only company in the world who solely focus on natural parasite control in animals. Launched five years ago, tried and trusted by many horse owners Verm-X provides an excellent alternative to using traditional chemically based methods of internal parasite control.
Verm-X powder for horses is a powerful and effective blend of 11 herbs. It provides a 100% herbal formulation specifically designed to repel internal parasites.
Following success of the powder formulation, Verm-X introduced an easy to use liquid version which can be added to drinking water, as well as in feed. As Verm-X products are herbal and contain 100% natural ingredients they are kinder on the gut wall than other methods maybe. Available in easy to use packs, Verm-X is very economical.
Verm-X is recognised for Environmental Best Practice in farming and agriculture by the Government supported Green Apple Awards, for their work and success in bringing a natural product into a traditionally chemical and man-made market.
Horse Powder is available in a single horse pack priced around £9.45 and an economy four horse pack priced around £31.80. Horse Liquid is priced around £14.25 for 250ml, £25.75 for 500ml and £44.50 for 1 litre.
